'Repent' in the Bible
O Lord, do not Your eyes look for truth? You have smitten them,But they did not weaken; You have consumed them,But they refused to take correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; They have refused to repent.
“You shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord,“Do men fall and not get up again?Does one turn away and not repent?
“I will winnow them with a winnowing forkAt the gates of the land;I will bereave them of children, I will destroy My people; They did not repent of their ways.
Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, that I may relent of the calamity which I am planning to do to them because of the evil of their deeds.’
