'Restrained' in the Bible
And the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, and the rain from the heavens was restrained.
And Moses commanded, and they {proclaimed the message} in the camp, saying, "Let no man or woman again make anything for the sanctuary contribution." And so the people were restrained from bringing.
So then, my lord, {as Yahweh lives and as your soul lives}, since Yahweh restrained you from bloodguilt {by taking matters into your own hand}, so then, may your enemies be like Nabal, even {those who seek to do my lord harm}.
I have restrained my feet from every evil way, so that I may heed your word.
