'Righteous' in the Bible

Say to the righteous that it will go well with them,For they will eat the fruit of their actions.

From the ends of the earth we hear songs, “Glory to the Righteous One,”But I say, “Woe to me! Woe to me! Alas for me!The treacherous deal treacherously,And the treacherous deal very treacherously.”

“Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter,The one that remains faithful.

The way of the righteous is smooth;O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.

‘Do not fear, for I am with you;Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

“Declare and set forth your case;Indeed, let them consult together.Who has announced this from of old?Who has long since declared it?Is it not I, the Lord?And there is no other God besides Me,A righteous God and a Savior;There is none except Me.

As a result of the anguish of His soul,He will see it and be satisfied;By His knowledge the Righteous One,My Servant, will justify the many,As He will bear their iniquities.

The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart;And devout men are taken away, while no one understands.For the righteous man is taken away from evil,

“Then all your people will be righteous;They will possess the land forever,The branch of My planting,The work of My hands,That I may be glorified.

For all of us have become like one who is unclean,And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment;And all of us wither like a leaf,And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
