'Rough' in the Bible

‘Every ravine shall be filled up,And every mountain and hill shall be leveled;And the crooked [places] shall be made straight,And the rough roads smooth;

The sea was getting rough and rising high because a strong wind was blowing.

And look at the ships. Even though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are still directed by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines.
