'Shortened' in the Bible

“His vigorous stride is shortened,And his own scheme brings him down.

You have shortened the days of his youth;You have covered him with shame. Selah.

He has weakened my strength in the way;He has shortened my days.

The fear of the Lord prolongs life,But the years of the wicked will be shortened.

Unless the Lord had shortened those days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

But this I say, brethren, the time has been shortened, so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none;
