'Snow' in the Bible

“If I were to wash myself with snowAnd cleanse my hands with lye,

“Drought and heat consume the snow waters;So does Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead) [consume] those who have sinned.

“For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’;And [He speaks] to the showers and to the downpour [of His mighty rains], ‘Be strong.’

“Have you entered the storehouses of the snow,Or have you seen the storehouses of the hail,
