'Spitting' in the Bible

“They abhor me and stand aloof from me,And they do not refrain from spitting at my face.

I gave My back to those who strike Me,And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard;I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting.

Jesus took him aside from the crowd, by himself, and put His fingers into his ears, and after spitting, He touched his tongue with the saliva;

Taking the blind man by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting on his eyes and laying His hands on him, He asked him, “Do you see anything?”

They kept beating His head with a reed, and spitting on Him, and kneeling and bowing before Him.
