'Stayed' in the Bible
And he stayed yet other seven days and sent forth the dove, which returned not again unto him any more.
And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau: Thy slave Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban and stayed there until now;
And Moses' hands were heavy, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat upon it; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side and the other on the other side; thus his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
and the priest shall look on him the seventh day and see if the plague in his sight is stayed and the plague is not spread in the skin, then the priest shall shut him up seven days the second time.
But if the scall appears to him to be stayed and there is black hair grown up in it, the scall is healed; he is clean; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
