'Suffered' in the Bible
Whenever the Israelites went out, the Lord was against them and brought disaster on them, just as He had promised and sworn to them. So they suffered greatly.
The king said to Abiathar the priest, “Go to your fields in Anathoth. Even though you deserve to die, I will not put you to death today, since you carried the ark of the Lord God in the presence of my father David and you suffered through all that my father suffered.”
They angered the Lord at the waters of Meribah,and Moses suffered because of them;
Fools suffered afflictionbecause of their rebellious ways and their sins.
In all their suffering, He suffered,and the Angel of His Presence saved them.He redeemed thembecause of His love and compassion;He lifted them up and carried themall the days of the past.
