'Taunts' in the Bible
The one enthroned in heaven laughs in disgust; the Lord taunts them.
Like the shattering of my bones are the taunts of my oppressors, saying to me all day long, "Where is your God?"
Indeed, it is not an enemy who insults me, or else I could bear it; it is not one who hates me who arrogantly taunts me, or else I could hide from him.
O Yahweh, remember this: [the] enemy taunts, and foolish people treat your name with contempt.
And return into the lap of our neighbors sevenfoldThe taunts with which they have taunted You, O Lord.
Remember, O Lord the taunting of your servants, [how] I bear in my bosom [the taunts of] all [the] many peoples,
Then I can answer the one who taunts me,for I trust in Your word.
We have had our fill of the taunts of the self-assured, of the contempt of the proud.
