'Thick' in the Bible

“You say, ‘What does God know?Can He judge through the thick darkness?

“For the morning is the same to him as thick darkness,For he is familiar with the terrors of thick darkness.

“Also with moisture He loads the thick cloud;He disperses the cloud of His lightning.

“Do you know about the layers of the thick clouds,The wonders of one perfect in knowledge,

When I made a cloud its garmentAnd thick darkness its swaddling band,
