'Wadis' in the Bible

Benaiah the Pirathonite,Hiddai from the wadis of Gaash,

Hurai from the wadis of Gaash,Abiel the Arbathite,

The wadis evaporate in warm weather;they disappear from their channels in hot weather.

and consign your gold to the dust,the gold of Ophir to the stones in the wadis,

They are living on the slopes of the wadis,among the rocks and in holes in the ground.

who burn with lust among the oaks,under every green tree,who slaughter children in the wadisbelow the clefts of the rocks?

They will come weeping,but I will bring them back with consolation.I will lead them to wadis filled with waterby a smooth way where they will not stumble,for I am Israel’s Father,and Ephraim is My firstborn.
