'Wars' in the Bible
Therefore it is said in the Book of the Wars of the Lord,“Waheb in Suphah,And the wadis of the Arnon,
Now these are the nations which the Lord left, to test Israel by them (that is, all who had not experienced any of the wars of Canaan;
“You know that David my father was unable to build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.
