'Woman' in the Bible
And Jesus *said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with us? My hour has not yet come.”
There *came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus *said to her, “Give Me a drink.”
Therefore the Samaritan woman *said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
The woman *said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, so I will not be thirsty nor come all the way here to draw.”
The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus *said to her, “You have correctly said, ‘I have no husband’;
The woman *said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.
Jesus *said to her, “Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.
The woman *said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.”
At this point His disciples came, and they were amazed that He had been speaking with a woman, yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why do You speak with her?”
So the woman left her waterpot, and went into the city and *said to the men,
From that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all the things that I have done.”
and they were saying to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world.”
The scribes and the Pharisees *brought a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the center of the court,
they *said to Him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act.
When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court.
Straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?”
Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.
When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He *said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
And they *said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She *said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”
Jesus *said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Supposing Him to be the gardener, she *said to Him, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”
