'Adversaries' in the Bible

Therefore the Lord God of hosts,The Mighty One of Israel, declares,“Ah, I will be relieved of My adversariesAnd avenge Myself on My foes.

Therefore the Lord raises against them adversaries from RezinAnd spurs their enemies on,

According to their deeds, so He will repay,Wrath to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies;To the coastlands He will make recompense.

Your holy people possessed Your sanctuary for a little while,Our adversaries have trodden it down.

As fire kindles the brushwood, as fire causes water to boil—To make Your name known to Your adversaries,That the nations may tremble at Your presence!
