'Appalled' in the Bible
I came to the exiles at Tel-abib by the Chebar River and sat down among them for seven days, appalled.
because bread and water will be scarce; and they will be appalled with one another and waste away in their iniquity.
‘He destroyed their fortified towersAnd laid waste their cities; And the land and its fullness were appalledBecause of the sound of his roaring.
All the princes of the sea will descend from their thrones, remove their robes, and strip off their embroidered garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling; they will sit on the ground, tremble continually, and be appalled at you.
All the inhabitants of the coasts and islandsare appalled at you.Their kings shudder with fear;their faces are contorted.
All those who know you among the nationsare appalled at you.You have become an object of horrorand will never exist again.”
I will cause many nations to be appalled at you,and their kings will shudder with fear because of youwhen I brandish My sword in front of them.On the day of your downfalleach of them will trembleevery moment for his life.
