'Art' in the Bible
O Lord, You are my God;I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name;For You have worked wonders,Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
You have increased the nation, O Lord,You have increased the nation, You are glorified;You have extended all the borders of the land.
“O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
Now, O Lord our God, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, Lord, are God.”
But the rest of it he makes into a god, his graven image. He falls down before it and worships; he also prays to it and says, “Deliver me, for you are my god.”
Truly, You are a God who hides Himself,O God of Israel, Savior!
For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know usAnd Israel does not recognize us.You, O Lord, are our Father,Our Redeemer from of old is Your name.
But now, O Lord, You are our Father,We are the clay, and You our potter;And all of us are the work of Your hand.
