'Beating' in the Bible

And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, beating some and killing some.

And the men who held him mocked him, beating him;

And all the crowds who had come together to that sight, having seen the things that took place, returned, beating their breasts.

who, taking with him immediately soldiers and centurions, ran down upon them. But they, seeing the chiliarch and the soldiers, ceased beating Paul.

And I said, Lord, they themselves know that I was imprisoning and beating in every synagogue those that believe on thee;
