'Below' in the Bible

His roots below dry up,and his branches above wither away.

"The spirits of the dead tremble below [the] waters and their inhabitants.

He openeth a shaft far from the inhabitants of the earth: forgotten of the foot, they hang suspended; away below men they hover.

Food may come from the earth,but below the surface the earth is transformed as by fire.
