'Blasphemy' in the Bible
So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
Then the high priest tore his robes and said, "He has blasphemed! Why do we still need witnesses? Listen! You yourselves have just heard the blasphemy!
"You have heard his blasphemy! What is your verdict?" All of them condemned him as deserving death.
The Jewish leaders answered him, "We are not going to stone you for a good action, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, are making yourself God!"
Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was controlled by blasphemy. It had seven heads and ten horns.
