'Captured' in the Bible

David captured the fortress of Zion, the city of David.

David captured from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand {foot soldiers}. David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but {from them} he spared a hundred chariot horses.

And Joab fought against Rabbah of the {Ammonites}, and he captured {the royal city}.

Then Joab sent messengers to David and said, "We have fought against Rabbah, and we captured the city of the waters.

So David gathered all of the army, and he went to Rabbah and fought against it and captured it.
