'Covers' in the Bible

Hatred stirs up strife,But love covers and overwhelms all transgressions [forgiving and overlooking another’s faults].

He who covers and forgives an offense seeks love,But he who repeats or gossips about a matter separates intimate friends.

Though his hatred covers itself with guile and deceit,His malevolence will be revealed openly before the assembly.

He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper,But whoever confesses and turns away from his sins will find compassion and mercy.
