'Desert' in the Bible

And his disciples answered him, "Where is anyone able to feed these [people] with bread here in the desert?"

"And [when] forty years had been completed, an angel appeared to him in the desert of Mount Sinai in the flame of a burning bush.

Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Get up and go toward the south on the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." (This is a desert [road].)

But God was not pleased with the majority of them, for they were struck down in the desert.
