'Dread' in the Bible
For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken.
“You are not to say, ‘It is a conspiracy!’In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy,And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.
“It is the Lord of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear,And He shall be your dread.
In that day the Egyptians will become like women, and they will tremble and be in dread because of the waving of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which He is going to wave over them.
The land of Judah will become a terror to Egypt; everyone to whom it is mentioned will be in dread of it, because of the purpose of the Lord of hosts which He is purposing against them.
So I will choose their punishmentsAnd will bring on them what they dread.Because I called, but no one answered;I spoke, but they did not listen. And they did evil in My sightAnd chose that in which I did not delight.”
