'Entered' in the Bible

“I brought you into a plentiful landTo eat its fruit and [enjoy] its good things.But you came and defiled My landAnd you made My inheritance repulsive.

For death has come up through our windows;It has entered our palaces,Cutting off the children from the streetsAnd the young men from the town squares.

They entered and took possession of it, but they did not obey Your voice or walk in Your law; they have done nothing of all that You commanded them to do. Therefore You have caused all this disaster and suffering to come upon them.

So all the princes and all the people who had entered into the covenant agreed that everyone would let his male servant and his female servant go free, and that no one would keep them in bondage any longer; they obeyed, and set them free.
