'Fail' in the Bible
Wild donkeys stand on the barren heightspanting for air like jackals.Their eyes failbecause there are no green plants.
Does the snow of Lebanon ever leave the highland crags?Or does cold water flowing from a distance ever fail?
As for you, My servant Jacob,do not be afraid—this is the Lord’s declaration—and do not be dismayed, Israel, for without fail I will save you from far away, your descendants, from the land of their captivity!Jacob will return and have calm and quietwith no one to frighten him.
“For this is what the Lord says: David will never fail to have a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel.
The Levitical priests will never fail to have a man always before Me to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings, and to make sacrifices.”
This is what the Lord says: If I do not keep My covenant with the day and with the night and fail to establish the fixed order of heaven and earth,
this is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Jonadab son of Rechab will never fail to have a man to always stand before Me.’”
But you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid, and do not be discouraged, Israel, for without fail I will save you from far awayand your descendants, from the land of their captivity!Jacob will return and have calm and quietwith no one to frighten him.
