'Failed' in the Bible
Not one of the good promises which the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass.
“Now behold, today I am going the way of all the earth, and you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one word of all the good words which the Lord your God spoke concerning you has failed; all have been fulfilled for you, not one of them has failed.
“Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised; not one word has failed of all His good promise, which He promised through Moses His servant.
“My relatives have failed,And my intimate friends have forgotten me.
“They are dismayed, they no longer answer;Words have failed them.
For my life is spent with sorrowAnd my years with sighing; My strength has failed because of my iniquity,And my body has wasted away.
For evils beyond number have surrounded me;My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see; They are more numerous than the hairs of my head,And my heart has failed me.
But the Lord is with me like a dread champion; Therefore my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will be utterly ashamed, because they have failed,With an everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten.
Yet our eyes failed,Looking for help was useless; In our watching we have watchedFor a nation that could not save.
