'Fire' in the Bible

While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

“For the company of the godless is barren,And fire consumes the tents of the corrupt.

“Indeed, the light of the wicked goes out,And the flame of his fire gives no light.

Complete darkness is held in reserve for his treasures,And unfanned fire will devour him;It will consume the survivor in his tent.

Saying, ‘Truly our adversaries are cut off,And their abundance the fire has consumed.’

“The earth, from it comes food,And underneath it is turned up as fire.

“For it would be fire that consumes to Abaddon,And would uproot all my increase.

“Out of his mouth go burning torches;Sparks of fire leap forth.
