'Fire' in the Bible

Upon the wicked He will rain snares;Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.

Smoke went up out of His nostrils,And fire from His mouth devoured;Coals were kindled by it.

From the brightness before Him passed His thick clouds,Hailstones and coals of fire.

The Lord also thundered in the heavens,And the Most High uttered His voice,Hailstones and coals of fire.

You will make them as a fiery oven in the time of your anger;The Lord will swallow them up in His wrath,And fire will devour them.

The voice of the Lord hews out flames of fire.

My heart was hot within me,While I was musing the fire burned;Then I spoke with my tongue:

He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;He burns the chariots with fire.

May our God come and not keep silence;Fire devours before Him,And it is very tempestuous around Him.

My soul is among lions;I must lie among those who breathe forth fire,Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrowsAnd their tongue a sharp sword.

Before your pots can feel the fire of thornsHe will sweep them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.

How long, O Lord? Will You be angry forever?Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

It is burned with fire, it is cut down;They perish at the rebuke of Your countenance.

Like fire that burns the forestAnd like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,

How long, O Lord?Will You hide Yourself forever?Will Your wrath burn like fire?

Fire goes before HimAnd burns up His adversaries round about.

He makes the winds His messengers,Flaming fire His ministers.

He gave them hail for rain,And flaming fire in their land.

He spread a cloud for a covering,And fire to illumine by night.

And a fire blazed up in their company;The flame consumed the wicked.

They surrounded me like bees;They were extinguished as a fire of thorns;In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off.

“May burning coals fall upon them;May they be cast into the fire,Into deep pits from which they cannot rise.

Fire and hail, snow and clouds;Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
