'Flattering' in the Bible

May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts!

to deliver you from the adulteress, from the sexually loose woman who speaks flattering words;

A lying tongue hates those crushed by it, and a flattering mouth works ruin.

For there will no longer be any false visions or flattering omens amidst the house of Israel.

For we never appeared with flattering speech, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed -- God is our witness --
