'Forgotten' in the Bible
For the needy will not always be forgotten,Nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever.
He says to himself, “God has forgotten;He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”
I am forgotten as a dead man, out of mind;I am like a broken vessel.
I will say to God my rock, “Why have You forgotten me?Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
All this has come upon us, but we have not forgotten You,And we have not dealt falsely with Your covenant.
If we had forgotten the name of our GodOr extended our hands to a strange god,
Has God forgotten to be gracious,Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion? Selah.
