'Forsake' in the Bible

Hear, my son, your father’s instructionAnd do not forsake your mother’s teaching;

“Do not forsake her, and she will guard you;Love her, and she will watch over you.

My son, observe the commandment of your fatherAnd do not forsake the teaching of your mother;

“Forsake your folly and live,And proceed in the way of understanding.”

Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend,And do not go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity;Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away.

Those who forsake the law praise the wicked,But those who keep the law strive with them.
