'Hear' in the Bible

The Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will come to you in a thick cloud, so that the people may hear when I speak with you and may believe and trust in you forever.” Then Moses repeated the words of the people to the Lord.

If you harm or oppress them in any way, and they cry at all to Me [for help], I will most certainly hear their cry;

for that is his only covering; it is his clothing for his body. In what shall he sleep? And when he cries to Me [for help], I will hear him, for I am compassionate and gracious.

But Moses said,“It is not the sound of the cry of victory,Nor is it the sound of the cry of defeat;But I hear the sound of singing.”
