'Heard' in the Bible

Now when Job’s three friends—Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite—heard about all this adversity that had happened to him, each of them came from his home. They met together to go and sympathize with him and comfort him.

Yes, may that night be barren;may no joyful shout be heard in it.

A figure stood there,but I could not recognize its appearance;a form loomed before my eyes.I heard a quiet voice:

Look, my eyes have seen all this;my ears have heard and understood it.

I have heard many things like these.You are all miserable comforters.

I have heard a rebuke that insults me,and my understanding makes me reply.

Abaddon and Death say,“We have heard news of it with our ears.”

When they heard me, they blessed me,and when they saw me, they spoke well of me.

Surely you have spoken in my hearing,and I have heard these very words:

but caused the poor to cry out to Him,and He heard the outcry of the afflicted.

Then there comes a roaring sound;God thunders with His majestic voice.He does not restrain the lightningwhen His rumbling voice is heard.

I had heard rumors about You,but now my eyes have seen You.
