But you do see, for you note mischief and vexation, that you may take it into your hands; to you the helpless commits himself; you have been the helper of the fatherless.

For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.

so you should rather turn to forgive and comfort him, or he may be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?
