'Hometown' in the Bible
And he came to his hometown [and] began to teach them in their synagogue, so that they were amazed and said, "From where did this man [get] this wisdom and these miracles?
And they were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his [own] hometown and in his [own] household."
And he went out from there and came to his hometown, and his disciples followed him.
And Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown, and among his relatives, and in his [own] household."
And he said to them, "Doubtless you will tell me this parable: 'Physician, heal yourself!' Whatever we have heard that took place in Capernaum, do here in your hometown also!"
And he said, "Truly I say to you that no prophet is acceptable in his [own] hometown.
