'Individual' in the Bible
"Take a census of the entire Israelite community by their clans and families, counting the name of every individual male.
From the descendants of Simeon, their genealogies according to their clans, according to {their families}, those who were counted according to [the] number of their names, every individual male from {twenty years old} and above, everyone who [is able] to go to war:
so collect five shekels for each individual, denominated in shekels of the sanctuary, that is, the shekel that weighs 20 gerahs.
The person is to confess the sin he has committed. He is to pay full compensation, add a fifth of its value to it, and give it to the individual he has wronged.
But if that individual has no relative to receive compensation, the compensation goes to the Lord for the priest, along with the atonement ram by which the priest will make atonement for the guilty person.
