'Laborer' in the Bible
At that time I also said to the people, “Let each man with his servant spend the night within Jerusalem so that they may be a guard for us by night and a laborer by day.”
How lonely sits the cityThat was full of people! She has become like a widowWho was once great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provincesHas become a forced laborer!
Stay in that house, eating and drinking what they give you; for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house.
For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing,” and “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”
