'Near' in the Bible
Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help.
Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding; Whose trappings must be bit and bridle to hold them in, Else they will not come near unto thee.
But it is good for me to draw near unto God: I have made the Lord Jehovah my refuge, That I may tell of all thy works.
We give thanks unto thee, O God; We give thanks, for thy name is near: Men tell of thy wondrous works.
Their soul abhorreth all manner of food; And they draw near unto the gates of death.
TAV. Let my cry come near before thee, O Jehovah: Give me understanding according to thy word.
And he hath lifted up the horn of his people, The praise of all his saints; Even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye Jehovah.
