'Parched' in the Bible

He will be like a juniper in the Arabah;he cannot see when good comesbut dwells in the parched places in the wilderness,in a salt land where no one lives.

Come down from glory; sit on parched ground,resident of the daughter of Dibon,for the destroyer of Moab has come against you;he has destroyed your fortresses.
