'Passing' in the Bible
There were two blind men sitting by the road. When they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”
As He was passing along by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, Simon’s brother. They were casting a net into the sea, since they were fishermen.
Early in the morning, as they were passing by, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots up.
They forced a man coming in from the country, who was passing by, to carry Jesus’ cross. He was Simon, a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus.
Hearing a crowd passing by, he inquired what this meant.
When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look! The Lamb of God!”
Philip appeared in Azotus, and he was traveling and evangelizing all the towns until he came to Caesarea.
For as I was passing through and observing the objects of your worship, I even found an altar on which was inscribed: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you.
and those who use the world as though they did not make full use of it. For this world in its current form is passing away.
I don’t want to see you now just in passing, for I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord allows.
Yet I am writing you a new command, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.
And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.
