'Perceive' in the Bible
Now, my father, see! Indeed, see the edge of your robe in my hand! For in that I cut off the edge of your robe and did not kill you, know and perceive that there is no evil or rebellion in my hands, and I have not sinned against you, though you are lying in wait for my life to take it.
She said to her husband, “Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God passing by us continually.
“Were He to pass by me, I would not see Him;Were He to move past me, I would not perceive Him.
“His sons achieve honor, but he does not know it;Or they become insignificant, but he does not perceive it.
“I would learn the words which He would answer,And perceive what He would say to me.
“Behold, I go forward but He is not there,And backward, but I cannot perceive Him;
He said, “Go, and tell this people:‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive;Keep on looking, but do not understand.’
Though the wicked is shown favor,He does not learn righteousness;He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness,And does not perceive the majesty of the Lord.
