'Profitable' in the Bible

And Haman saith to the king Ahasuerus, 'There is one people scattered and separated among the peoples, in all provinces of thy kingdom, and their laws are diverse from all people, and the laws of the king they are not doing, and for the king it is not profitable to suffer them;

and all this is not profitable to me, during all the time that I am seeing Mordecai the Jew sitting in the gate of the king.'

“Will it be well for you when He investigates you [and your tactics against me]?Or will you deceive Him as one deceives a man?

“Should he argue with useless talk,Or with words which are not profitable?

Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?

He looketh on men, and saith, 'I sinned, And uprightness I have perverted, And it hath not been profitable to me.

for she is more profitable than silver,and her revenue is better than gold.

Notice this, even when it was complete, it was not useful and was not made into anything. How much less, after the fire has burned [part of] it and [the remainder of] it is charred, can it still be made into anything?
