'Pursues' in the Bible

He who is steadfast in righteousness attains life,But he who pursues evil attains his own death.

Adversity pursues sinners,But the [consistently] upright will be rewarded with prosperity.

The way [of life] of the wicked is hateful and exceedingly offensive to the Lord,But He loves one who pursues righteousness [personal integrity, moral courage and honorable character].

All the brothers of a poor man hate him;How much more do his friends abandon him!He pursues them with words, but they are gone.

The wicked flee when no one pursues them,But the righteous are as bold as a lion.
