“The Lord kills and makes alive;He brings down to Sheol and raises up.
“He raises the poor from the dust,He lifts the needy from the ash heapTo make them sit with nobles,And inherit a seat of honor;For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s,And He set the world on them.
“When he raises himself up, the mighty fear;Because of the crashing they are bewildered.

The Lord sustains all who fallAnd raises up all who are bowed down.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;The Lord raises up those who are bowed down;The Lord loves the righteous;
He who loves transgression loves strife;He who raises his door seeks destruction.
Therefore the Lord raises against them adversaries from RezinAnd spurs their enemies on,
“Sheol from beneath is excited over you to meet you when you come;It arouses for you the spirits of the dead, all the leaders of the earth;It raises all the kings of the nations from their thrones.
Surely he cuts cedars for himself, and takes a cypress or an oak and raises it for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir, and the rain makes it grow.
For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.
indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead;
