God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness.
So God made a canopy that separated the water beneath the canopy from the water above it. And that is what happened:
And God said, "Let the waters that are under heaven gather themselves unto one place, that the dry land may appear." And it came so to pass.
God called the dry land “earth,” and He called the gathering of the water “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
And God said, "Let the earth bring forth herb and grass that sow seed, and fruitful trees that bear fruit, every one in his kind, having their seed in themselves, upon the earth." And it came so to pass.
The earth produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
Then said God, "Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven, to divide the day from the night; that they may be unto signs, seasons, days and years.
to serve as lights in the sky, and to shine on the earth!" And that is what happened:
to dominate the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness.
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
So God created the large sea-creatures
Then God said, “Let the earth produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that crawl, and the wildlife of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so.
So God made the wildlife of the earth according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and creatures that crawl on the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, to be like us. Let them be masters over the fish in the ocean, the birds that fly, the livestock, everything that crawls on the earth, and over the earth itself!"
God blessed the humans by saying to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it! Be masters over the fish in the ocean, the birds that fly, and every living thing that crawls on the earth!"
God also told them, "Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant that grows throughout the earth, along with every tree that grows seed-bearing fruit. They will produce your food.
I have given all green plants as food for every wild animal of the earth, every bird that flies, and to every living thing that crawls on the earth." And that is what happened.
God saw all that He had made, and it was very good.
The heavens and the earth were completed with everything that was in them.
By the seventh
God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it he ceased all the work that he had been doing in creation.
These are the records
And out of the ground LORD God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food, also the tree of life in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Now a river flowed out from Eden that watered the garden, and from there it diverged and became four branches.
The name of the one, Pison: it is that surrounding all the land Havilah, where there is gold.
Gold from that land is pure;
And the name of the second river, Gihon: that surrounding all the land of Cush.
And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which flows forward toward Asshur. And the fourth river, that is Euphrates.
but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it. For in the day that thou eat of it thou shall surely die.
And LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone, I will make a help meet for him.
Now Yahweh God had formed from the ground every living thing of the field and every bird of the heavens, which he brought in unto the man, that he might see what he should call it, - and, whatsoever the man should call it - any living soul, that, should be the name thereof.
The man gave names to all the livestock, to the birds that fly, and to each of earth's animals, but there was not found a strength corresponding to him,
So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to come over the man,
When the man was asleep, he removed one of the man's ribs and closed up the flesh where it had been. Then the LORD God formed the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man.
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and unites with his wife, and they become a new family.
Now the serpent was more shrewd than any of the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Is it really true that God said, 'You must not eat from any tree of the orchard'?"
but of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, said God, see that ye eat not, and see that ye touch it not: lest ye die."
“In fact, God knows that when
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make wise, she took of the fruit of it, and ate. And she also gave to her husband with her, and h
And the eyes of both them were opened, that they understood how that they were naked. Then they sewed fig leaves together and made them aprons.
Then He asked, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
Moreover, I will put hatred between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed. And that seed shall tread thee on the head, and thou shalt tread it on the heel."
So the man called the name of his wife, Eve, - in that, she, was made mother of every one living.
And the Lord God said, "Now that the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil, he must not be allowed to stretch out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."
And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought an offering to LORD of the fruit of the ground.
Is it not true that if you do what is right, you will be fine? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door. It desires to dominate you, but you must subdue it."
And Cain told Abel his brother. And it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and killed him.
So now you are cursed, alienated, from the ground that opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood you have shed.
And Cain said unto the LORD, "My sin is greater, than that it may be forgiven.
Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
Then the Lord replied to him, “In that case,
And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived, and bare Enoch, - Now it happened that he was building a city, so he called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
And Ada bare Jabal; of whom came they that dwell in tents and possess cattle.
And his brother's name was Jubal; of him came all that exercise themselves on the harp and on the organs.
And Zillah she also bare Tubalcain; a worker in metal and a father of all that grave in brass and iron. And Tubalcain's sister was called Naamah.
A son was born to Seth
These are the family
After Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son just like him, that is, according to his own likeness, and named him Seth.
And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
whom he named Noah, because he said, "May this one comfort us from our work, from pain that is caused by our manual labor, and from the ground that the LORD has cursed."
And it happened [that], when humankind began to multiply on the face of the ground, daughters were born to them.
that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair. And they took to them wives of all that they chose.
And Jehovah will say, My spirit will not forever be low in man, for that he is flesh and his days were one hundred and twenty years.
The giants, were in the each in these days, and also, after that, when the sons of God began to go in unto the daughters of men, and sons were born to them, the same, were the heroes that were from age-past times the men of renown.
When the Lord saw that man’s wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every scheme his mind thought of was nothing but evil all the time,
Then the LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and he was deeply grieved about that.
Then the Lord said, “I will wipe off from the face of the earth mankind, whom I created, together with the animals, creatures that crawl, and birds of the sky—for I regret that I made them.”
God saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
So God said to Noah, "I have decided that all living creatures must die, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Now I am about to destroy them and the earth.
This is the way you are to make it: the length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits (450’ x 75’ x 45’).
I am about to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy from under the sky all the living creatures that have the breath of life in them. Everything that is on the earth will die,
But I will make mine covenant with thee, that both thou shalt come into the ark and thy sons, thy wife and thy sons' wives with thee.
and of all that liveth, of all flesh, two of every sort thou dost bring in unto the ark, to keep alive with thee; male and female are they.
Two of everything—from the birds according to their kinds, from the livestock according to their kinds, and from the animals that crawl on the ground according to their kinds—will come to you so that you can keep them alive.
And take thou of all food that is eaten, and gather it to thee, that it may be for food for thee and for them.
And Noah did this. He did everything that God had commanded him.
Then the Lord said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you alone are righteous before Me in this generation.
You are to take with you seven pairs, a male and its female, of all the clean animals,
And of the birds of the air, seven males and seven females, so that their seed may still be living on the face of the earth.
For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights, and every living thing that I have made I will destroy from off the face of the ground.
And Noah did everything that the Lord commanded him.
Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps upon the ground,
And it came to pass after the seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the sources of the watery depths burst open,
(And it came to pass that the heavy rain was on the earth, - forty days and forty nights.)
On that same day Noah along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, Noah’s wife, and his three sons’ wives entered the ark with him.
They entered it with all the wildlife according to their kinds, all livestock according to their kinds, the creatures that crawl on the earth according to their kinds, all birds, every fowl, and everything with wings according to their kinds.
Two of all flesh that has the breath of life in it entered the ark with Noah.
Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered just as God had commanded him. Then the Lord shut him in.
The flood continued for 40 days on the earth; the waters increased and lifted up the ark so that it rose above the earth.
Yea the waters, prevailed very greatly, on the earth, - so that all the high mountains became covered, that were under all the heavens:
fifteen cubits upwards, prevailed the waters, so that the mountains became covered.
Every creature perished—those that crawl on the earth, birds, livestock, wildlife, and those that swarm
Everything that breathed and everything that had lived on dry land died.
He wiped out every living thing that was on the surface of the ground, from mankind to livestock, to creatures that crawl, to the birds of the sky, and they were wiped off the earth. Only Noah was left, and those that were with him in the ark.
God remembered Noah,
The waters kept receding steadily from the earth, so that they had gone down by the end of the 150 days.
The flood water continued to recede until the tenth month, when, on the first of that month, the tops of the mountains could be seen.
