'Rise' in the Bible

O Lord, how my enemies have increased!Many are rising up against me.

Wondrously show Your [marvelous and amazing] lovingkindness,O Savior of those who take refuge at Your right handFrom those who rise up against them.

I shattered them so that they were not able to rise;They fell [wounded] under my feet.

He rescues me from my enemies;Yes, You lift me up above those who rise up against me;You deliver me from the man of violence.

Malicious witnesses rise up;They ask me of things that I do not know.

There those who [are perverse and] do evil have fallen;They have been thrust down and cannot rise.

“A wicked thing is poured out upon him and holds him;And when he lies down, he will not rise up again.”

Through You we will gore our enemies [like a bull];Through Your name we will trample down those who rise up against us.

Rise up! Come be our help,And ransom us for the sake of Your steadfast love.

Deliver me from my enemies, O my God;Set me securely on an inaccessibly high place away from those who rise up against me.

Do not forget the [clamoring] voices of Your adversaries,The uproar of those who rise against You, which ascends continually [to Your ears].

My eye has looked on my foes;My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.

Rise up, O Judge of the earth;Give to the proud a fitting compensation.

Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?Who will take a stand for me against those who do wickedness?

At midnight I will rise to give thanks to YouBecause of Your righteous ordinances.

It is vain for you to rise early,To retire late,To eat the bread of anxious labors—For He gives [blessings] to His beloved even in his sleep.

Do I not hate those who hate You, O Lord?And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?

“Let burning coals fall upon them;Let them be thrown into the fire,Into deep [water] pits from which they cannot rise.
