‘You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired man are not to remain with you all night until morning.
Do not rob the poor because he is poor,Or crush the afflicted at the gate;
For the Lord will plead their caseAnd take the life of those who rob them.
So as to deprive the needy of justiceAnd rob the poor of My people of their rights,So that widows may be their spoilAnd that they may plunder the orphans.
They covet fields and then seize them,And houses, and take them away.They rob a man and his house,A man and his inheritance.
“Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.
You who say that one should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?
