'Shines' in the Bible

Nor do men light a lamp and put it under the bushel, but upon the lamp-stand, and it shines for all who are in the house.

For as the lightning goes forth from the east and shines to the west, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.

For as the lightning shines which lightens from one end under heaven to the other end under heaven, thus shall the Son of man be in his day.

Again, I write a new commandment to you, which thing is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light already shines.

and having in his right hand seven stars; and out of his mouth a sharp two-edged sword going forth; and his countenance as the sun shines in its power.
