'Sinned' in the Bible

Jerusalem sinned greatly;Therefore she has become an unclean thing [and has been removed].All who honored her [now] despise herBecause they have seen her nakedness;Even she herself groans and turns [her face] away.

Our fathers sinned, and are no more;It is we who have carried their sin.

The crown has fallen from our head [our honor is covered with dust]!Woe to us, for we have sinned!
